Justin Daughtry, DVM
Dr. Daughtry is the newest member of the Cherry Hills Animal Hospital. He and his family recently relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Daughtry is originally from Philadelphia. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology from East Stroudsburg University in 1997 and decided to dedicate the first part of his professional career to human physical therapy. He earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 from Drexel University. Dr. Daughtry truly enjoyed being a caregiver and helping people heal from injuries and illness; however, after eleven years within that profession, he developed a strong desire to transfer his caregiving to our four-legged friends. He then attended the UC-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated in 2016 with honors. To further pursue postgraduate advanced study in small animal medicine and surgery, Dr. Daughtry completed a veterinary internship at VCA Loomis Basin. After his internship, he served as an associate veterinarian in the San Francisco Bay Area. His areas of interest include geriatric care medicine, feline medicine, dentistry, and surgery. When not at the clinic, Dr. Daughtry, his wife Julie, his son Asher, and their German Short-Haired Pointer “Zeke” are outside hiking, backpacking, bird watching, and exploring.
