Dr. Jennifer Denton
Growing up in Aurora, Colorado, a young Jennifer Denton would diligently watch all of the neighbor’s dogs for them since her own family didn’t have pets at the time. She always enjoyed the company of animals and knew from a young age she wanted to become a veterinarian. She never gave up on that dream and now she’s a licensed Veterinarian and Owner of Cherry Hills Animal Hospital!
Dr. Denton received her Bachelor’s in Biology from Colorado State University in 1999. She stayed at Colorado State to receive her DVM in 2005 and remained in the area to practice veterinary medicine. Dr. Denton likes preventative medicine because she likes keeping animals healthy, not just treating diseases. She also enjoys the challenge of internal medicine, as well as acupuncture and laser therapy—as Dr. Denton puts it, not everything needs medication!
Outside of work, Dr. Denton loves reading thriller novels, mountain biking, hiking, and spending time with her family. She lives with her husband and two children. They have five cats: Sarabi, Mulder, Scully (Dr. Denton is an X-Files fan!), Frankie Four Fingers, and Bullet Tooth Tony, the troublemaker of the lot.
